Mbappé's Legal Tug-of-War with PSG: Another Court Blow
12 December 2025
Mbappé’s Legal Battle Deepens Against PSG
Kylian Mbappé, once PSG’s marquee star, has lost another round in the ongoing legal dispute with his former club.
According to the French outlet Radio Monte Carlo, Paris’s Court of Appeal rejected Mbappé’s latest appeal to lift a precautionary freeze on the club’s accounts.
The report adds that in May, PSG won the cancellation of the blockade on club accounts worth 55 million euros, which Mbappé had demanded.
The judge overseeing enforcement at the Paris courthouse ordered the release of three PSG accounts, but on December 9 the appeals court again denied Mbappé’s bid to suspend the verdict.
The court also ordered the French forward to pay 3,000 euros to PSG for “abusing the legal process.”
A next hearing is scheduled for Tuesday as Mbappé and PSG prepare again to face the court.
The saga continues, with fans watching as the French giants navigate the delicate boundary between law and sport.
Meanwhile, Mbappé’s relationship with the club remains strained, and the outcome could influence how such disputes are handled in French football.
Next date: Tuesday; plus, a little humor.
Punchline: If Mbappé scores in court, does he get extra time on the pitch? No—just more time to pay the fine.
Punchline 2: The transfer window may close, but the legal window stays wide open.
