Duhail climbed to 12 points in seventh, with Al-Sailiya on seven points in tenth.
After the full-time whistle, Youssef Attal, the Algerian defender for Al Sadd, spoke about the victory: “Congratulations to us; hard luck to Umm Salal. The game wasn’t easy, but we produced a strong performance and achieved our main goal—three points.” He added: “We took advantage of the chances; scoring wasn’t just luck but planning and organization on the pitch, and the coming games will be even better if we keep creating chances and minimizing errors.” He highlighted that the win reflects good preparation by the coaching staff and that Sadd aim to play attractive, effective football for the fans, stressing that the road ahead remains long and competitions are not finished yet.
All in all, the weekend delivered a feast of goals, drama, and a reminder that in football, momentum can swing wildly from one half to the next.
Sniper punchlines for the end of the match: “My aim is so sharp that even VAR asks for my coordinates.”
“If scoring were an art, these guys would be on the cover of ‘Abstract Brilliance Monthly’—and the rest of us would just frame the table.”
