Barça in Transition: Laporta Steps Down to Chase the Presidency

Joan Laporta has officially resigned as Barcelona president to run in the upcoming elections on March 15. The move, in line with the club's bylaws, was announced during a routine board meeting that also called for elections. Several directors also stepped down to join the electoral process, paving the way for a transitional board that will lead Barça until June 30. The club’s new administration, led by Rafael Yuste, will navigate the mid-season shift while preparations for the elections get underway.
