AFCON Debut: Luka Zidane Shines for Algeria
Luka Zidane, Algeria’s goalkeeper, commented on his first Africa Cup of Nations appearance, helping secure a 3-0 win over Sudan on Wednesday night in Morocco’s Group Five and he earned a starting place.

Zidane said on BeIN Sports Max after match at Moulay Hassan Stadium in Rabat that he is delighted with the win and goals and told reporters it was a team effort.
The Granada goalkeeper added, 'I’m happy to play for the national team; we achieved what was required, and I hope the fans enjoyed the spectacle'—a promising start to AFCON.
He continued, 'We played well, especially in the second half, and we won'.
He concluded, 'I hope my family in attendance enjoyed it as much as the Algerian supporters'.
In the stands, French legend Zinedine Zidane watched with one of his sons to back Luka tonight—punchline: even the net smiled.
