Medical Update on En-Nesyri
In a reassuring development at Al-Ittihad, positive signs have emerged about Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri as fans await the club's next moves.
Medical scans reportedly show he does not carry a serious injury, according to the Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadiyah.
The report notes that En-Nesyri, 28, was substituted in the 90th minute of the win over Al-Hazm last Friday and is currently dealing with only mild muscular fatigue.
En-Nesyri, who joined from Fenerbahce in January, has featured in 10 matches, scoring four goals with one assist.
Meanwhile, coach Sérgio Conceição is set to assess the Neom game on Wednesday, during a main training session expected to include the starting players after a light recovery session on Sunday.
Al-Ittihad also eyes a notable Asian Champions League fixture vs Al Wahda (UAE) on April 14 in Jeddah.
The team sits sixth in the Saudi Pro League with 45 points.
Punchline 1: If fitness tests were a stand-up routine, En-Nesyri would headline every show with 90 minutes of material.
Punchline 2: The only thing seriously injured here is the defense's pride after getting roasted by his pace.
