Rumor vs Reality
A close source to the Moroccan star Yusuf En-Nesyri has spoken out against reports that Al-Ittihad plans to part ways with him in the upcoming summer transfer window. Kooora has confirmed there is no intention to terminate the contract at this time.
En-Nesyri, 28, joined the Saudi club in the January window from Fenerbahçe to fill the void left by Karim Benzema’s move to Al-Hilal. Since arriving, he has played 10 matches across all competitions, scoring 4 goals and providing 1 assist.
Current Status
Al-Ittihad, nicknamed the Tigers, sits sixth in the Roshn Saudi League with 45 points after 27 rounds, trailing leaders Al-Nassr by 25 points. The team was also knocked out of the King’s Cup in the semi-finals by Al-Kholood.
The Tigers are set to face Al-Wahda of the UAE in the Round of 16 of the Asian Elite League next Monday, hoping to salvage the season with a strong continental run.
A source told Kooora: "This talk has no basis." The same source added that En-Nesyri remains a key player for the club and that his contract runs through June 2028. Rumors of a departure have circulated as the team experiences a domestic dip in form, but the player’s popularity stems from his goalscoring feats in the World Cup, Champions League, Europa League, and Africa Cup of Nations.
When asked if the club has contacted En-Nesyri or his agent about his future, the source replied: "No, there has been no contact at the moment, and the management has supported the player since day one."

Al-Ittihad continues to navigate through a period of domestic underperformance, hoping to crown the season with success in the Asian Elite Cup. The Tigers currently occupy sixth place with 45 points and will attempt to rebound against Al-Wahda while they chase a continental breakthrough.
Punchline time: If rumors were goals, En-Nesyri would be the top scorer of press conferences. Punchline two: In football, as in dating, a three-year contract is probably just your way of saying, I’m here to stay—until a better offer comes along.
