Coach David Bajo rejects comparisons with Walid Regragui
Cameroon’s coach, David Bajo, says he cannot be compared to Walid Regragui, the Moroccan manager, ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations quarterfinal clash.
Road to the quarterfinals
The match will be held at the Mohammed V Stadium in Rabat on Friday evening, kickoff at 10:00 PM local Saudi time (9:00 PM Egypt time).
In the pre-match press conference, Bajo said, "I am at the start of my international career, while Regragui led Morocco to the 2022 World Cup semifinal." He added that Regragui has done well and that Morocco has led the team for a long time, while Cameroon is in strong form.
Bajo stressed that Morocco is the natural favorite to win, given they host the tournament and enjoy home support.
Morocco reached the quarterfinals with a 1-0 win over Tanzania, while Cameroon booked a dramatic 2-1 win over South Africa to advance.
Punchline 1: If Morocco’s home crowd were a weapon, they’d be a sniper—right on target, every time.
Punchline 2: Cameroon may bring a plan, but in Rabat the home advantage comes with a standing ovation—good luck with that defense!
