Al Ahly Stands Firm Against Transfer Talks Involving Zamalek Stars
Al Ahly's football management has rejected any form of negotiations with two Zamalek first-team players, Mohamed El-Sayed and Hossam Abdelmagid Abdel-Salam.
El-Sayed, a young midfielder for Zamalek, is under contract until the end of the current season, while Abdelmagid reportedly seeks departure from the White Knights as he has not received his dues, despite his deal running through to the end of next season.
An Al Ahly source told Kooora that there are explicit instructions not to engage in talks with any player until their current contract has completely expired with their club, whether Zamalek or others.
Meanwhile, Mahmoud El Khatib, the club president, has emphasized that negotiations with any player should occur only through official channels.
There were intermediaries who discussed with Al Ahly officials the possibility of negotiating with El-Sayed should his contract end at season's end, but they were told to pause until the player's intentions are clear. The club also stressed that talks with Abdelmagid are off the table for now given his contract extends to the end of next season.
Punchline 1: If patience were a transfer window, Al Ahly would have signed it already. Punchline 2: The only thing being transferred here is time, and maybe the club calendar—so best not to blink.
