A source told Kooora in exclusive remarks on Wednesday that Al Ahly has indeed requested the European federation to outline the participation requirements through a wildcard.

The source added that officials are waiting for the official reply detailing the steps required to be present in the upcoming edition.

The source noted that the football department is represented by Khaled Al-Awadi, director of sports activity, and Mohand Magdy, supervisor of the sports activity department, who have received the green light from Mahmoud Al-Khatib, the club president, to move forward seriously.
