Al Faisaly Clinches Jordan's Union Shield
Al Faisaly clinched the Jordanian Union Shield for the tenth time in its history, after defeating Al Hussein Irbid 2-0 on Saturday night, at the end of the eighth round of the season, at Prince Mohammed Stadium in Zarqa.
Faisaly opened the scoring with a goal from Harry Aaron in the sixth minute, and Majdi Al-Attar added a second in the 66th, a 2-0 win that lifted them to 21 points and stretched the lead to four points over Al-Wehdat and Al-Salt with one round remaining.
Al Faisaly secured the trophy under head coach Denis Curic, the Bosnian, who has improved the side's results this season.

Al-Ahli remains fourth on 11 points, a goal adrift from Al-Hussein Irbid, then Shabab Al-Urdun occupy fifth with 10 points.
Al-Jazeera remained sixth on eight points, level with Baqa'a but behind on goal difference; Shabab Al-Sarhan sits ninth on six points, while Ramtha lies bottom on four.
