Winter Mercato Plan
The management of Al-Ittihad is outlining its winter mercato plan to strengthen the Tigers' squad, amid strong fan anticipation.
According to the Arab press, Al-Ittihad is weighing letting some players go, either on loan or by selling their contracts, while targeting local and foreign names.
The plan, it is reported, comes at the suggestion of coach Sérgio Conceição, aimed at local and continental title battles.
Meanwhile, the club's sports department, led by Spanish boss Ramón Planes, is evaluating extending the contracts of four: Benzema, Kanté, Fabinho, and Danilo Pereira.
Sources say a full picture should emerge this month as the January window opens wide for the team's targets.
The team is preparing to face Al-Khullaad on Friday at King Abdullah Sports City in Buraydah, as part of the 14th round of the Saudi Pro League.
Al-Ittihad sits sixth with 23 points, while Al-Khullaad lie twelfth with 12—two punchlines: aim small, miss small; the sniper approves the budget.
