Al-Nassr Freed to Sign: FIFA Lifts Transfer Ban Ahead of Winter Window
Al-Nassr's transfer plans move forward after lifting of registration ban.

FIFA lifts Al-Nassr's registration ban

FIFA has decided to lift the registration ban on Al-Nassr, allowing them to sign new players normally during the upcoming winter transfer window this season, finally.

FIFA had previously placed Al-Nassr on the list of clubs banned from registering last Friday, for failing to pay 9 million euros to Manchester City in the deal for Spanish defender Aymeric Laporte.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed in a tweet on his official X account that FIFA has lifted the registration ban on Al-Nassr.

What this means for Al-Nassr's winter plans

Romano wrote in his tweet that today FIFA's decision confirms Al-Nassr's full compliance with the rules, and the ban on registering him is permanently lifted; the case is closed, a major boost for Al-Nassr ahead of plans for 2026.

Returning to FIFA's site, it appears Al-Nassr is no longer among the clubs barred from registering at the moment, along with teams such as Al Shabab, Damac, and Al Riyadh from the Roshn League.

Thus, Al-Nassr will be able to sign new players during the upcoming winter window, with reports suggesting that Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus, the team's manager, aims to bring in three players.

With the ban lifted, Al-Nassr can pursue new signings in January, and coach Jorge Jesus is reportedly targeting three players.

Well, the winter mercato just turned from snooze to news.

If Al-Nassr signs three, the league will need a bigger calendar.
