Aly Dieng on Renewal: Al Ahly’s Offer Sparks Mali Trip Hint
Dieng’s renewal talks as he heads to Mali.

Contract renewal in principle

Aly Dieng, Al Ahly's star, has provisionally agreed to renew his contract with the Reds in the near future.

His current deal runs out next summer, meaning he can sign with another club starting January 2026.

A source inside Al Ahly told Kooora that officials held several talks with Dieng to extend his stay for three seasons.

Terms and next steps

The initial offer was a salary of $1.25 million per year, which he did not immediately respond to.

The club then raised it to $1.3 million annually, plus endorsements and TV money.

Barring a bigger offer after Africa Cup of Nations, Dieng and his agent have in principle approved the latest proposal.

He has not signed yet, but renewal is expected if no major bid arrives. Sniper joke 1: "If patience were a contract, Dieng would sign it in ink that never dries." Sniper joke 2: "Meanwhile, the calendar keeps circling January 2026 like a striker after a rebound."
