Another Snag for Spalletti: Juventus Falters in Coppa Italia

Injury Blow Reshapes Juventus Cup Clash
Juventus head coach Luciano Spalletti received a heavy blow during the Coppa Italia last-16 clash with Udinese at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.
In the 55th minute, Federico Gatti, Juventus’ defender, went down on the turf after an injury he had suffered early in the second half and could not complete the match.
Spalletti was forced to make his first substitution by replacing Gatti with midfielder Manuel Locatelli.
With no defender on the bench to replace Gatti, Spalletti deployed Locatelli back into defence, a role he has filled in several recent outings.
Gatti’s problem added to Spalletti’s worries, as two centre-backs, Gleison Bremer and Daniele Rugani, had already been ruled out.
Juventus also lost their top scorer Dusan Vlahovic, who picked up an injury against Cagliari and is expected to be out for up to three months.
