Al Wasl and Dibba

He elaborated: "I know well how important and special this competition is for everyone; it represents a special value for Al Ain’s supporters and, of course, is among the targets we aim to achieve this season as we focus on each game and phase one by one."
Concerning the Hamriyah match, Ivic added: "There are no easy games in football, and every opponent facing Al Ain has strong motives to perform at their best. We always prepare well and respect opponents' ambitions."
He further stated: "We realize the match is in a valuable and important competition, and it has been absent from the club’s treasury since the 2017–2018 season, so we approach with the utmost seriousness and responsibility."
In closing, Ivic expressed confidence in his players: "I trust my players completely and their sense of responsibility; they understand the importance of continuing to deliver strong performances and achieve positive results as we pursue the club’s targets from the season’s outset."
Al Hamriyah and Al Ain
Goran Popovićs, Al Hamriyah coach, said, "We respect Al Ain, one of the country’s biggest clubs, but we believe in our ability to compete, and reaching the last-16 in the Emirates Cup is a pride for us."
Popovićs added: "We will play with high fighting spirit to prove that Al Hamriyah can challenge the big teams, and our aim is to deliver a performance that does justice to the club and its fans and go far in the competition."
Al Jazira and Ajman
Marino Bouchich, coach of Al Jazira, stated before the crucial match: "We expect a difficult and complex game against Ajman, but we have big ambitions to reach the farthest stages of this prestigious tournament and to claim the honour of winning it, especially since the final will be held at our Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium."
He added: "Ajman is a strong team with notable levels, and we have strong belief in our physical and mental readiness and in our ability to perform at our best to secure a place in the quarter-finals."
Concluding his remarks before the match, Bouchich said: "I trust my players and their fighting spirit for the club, and I also trust our wonderful fans who always give us meaningful support; I promise we will give everything to satisfy them and deliver the result they expect."
Goran Todijic, Ajman coach, commented on participating in the competition: "The Emirates Cup carries a big name and holds a special place for all teams involved."
He continued: "I have great faith in my players; we face a big opponent on their home ground, and I expect the team to perform the plan well and best of luck to us in the match."
Throughout the pre-match press conference, Todijic stressed the importance of the Emirates Cup, noting that it’s a major competition for the clubs and a chance to showcase their quality.
As the last-16 ties loom, the coaches emphasized resilience, unity, and the desire to push deeper into the tournament while honoring the competition’s prestige. If football were a movie, this is the part where the heroes tighten their laces and sprint into extra time. If my fantasy team were allowed to include snacks, I’d still pick the popcorn over the substitutes. Now, let’s see who spoils the script.
