Cameroon's Star Warnings: Morocco Is Favored, But Don't Get Too Comfortable

Ahead of the AFCON quarterfinal, Majri warns of the Atlas Lions' strength
Frank Majri, a Cameroon international, says Morocco are the clear favorites to reach the Africa Cup of Nations 2025 semi-finals ahead of tonight's quarterfinal clash.
He explained that Morocco have a technically strong team that plays the ball with precision, so defensively Cameroon will try not to give them space, be aggressive enough, and shrink the gaps so they do not feel comfortable when in possession.
He added that Cameroon must be effective in every opportunity and very precise to score and avoid conceding.
On who is favored, the Cameroonian international said that he is not sure but thinks Morocco, because they are playing at home, are slightly ahead of them; not being considered favorites does not bother them, that's natural.
Majri also said they expect more Moroccan supporters in the stadium than Cameroonians, but that will not change anything for them; they will do their best to qualify.
The quarterfinal between Cameroon and Morocco is scheduled for Friday, January 9, 2026 at 20:00 as part of AFCON 2025 proceedings.
Punchline 1: If football is a sniper joke, this match would be a clean headshot of suspense—minus the blood, plus the crowd roar.
Punchline 2: And remember, in football and comedy, timing is everything; tonight's joke lands when the whistle blows and the ball hits the net. Flat humor? Never in this stadium.
