Can Morocco Conquer the Arab Cup? Hamdallah's Bold Claim

Morocco opens Arab Cup with win and title talk
Morocco's Abderrazak Hamdallah surprised reporters by signaling that his team could lift the Arab Cup after a 3-1 victory over Comoros in the opening Group B match.
Group B and the challenge ahead
Morocco are in Group B with Saudi Arabia, Comoros and Oman, one of the tournament's toughest lineups.
In post-match remarks to the media, Hamdallah said Morocco played well from the start and controlled the match, setting the tempo early.
The Al Shabab striker noted that the side faced a strong opponent in Comoros but imposed their rhythm and converted the dominance into three goals.
He added that Morocco does not see itself as the sole favorite; the levels across teams are comparable and several players can change a game.
The tournament is tough, he said, and success will come to those who stay focused and mentally prepared.
Hamdallah also stated that Morocco would take it one game at a time and aim to make their fans proud, continuing to work with great focus to deliver in every match.
Hamdallah came on as a substitute in the 73rd minute, providing attacking energy but failing to add another goal.
Punchlines: If this pace continues, Morocco might lift the cup earlier than expected. And if Hamdallah keeps finding the net, we’ll need a bigger sofa for all the victory celebrations on my fantasy team.
