City Silence on Semenyo Link: Guardiola Keeps Focus on Sunderland and January Plans

Transfer Talks and Guardiola's Caution
Guardiola, Manchester City's manager, refused to comment on his club's negotiations with Ghanaian international Antoine Semenyo, Bournemouth's star, and his potential arrival at the Etihad in January.
Sky Sports reported recently that Manchester City is close to an agreement with Bournemouth over Semenyo.
Guardiola, ahead of tomorrow's Sunderland game, noted Sky's involvement but kept remarks neutral.
He added that he must be careful with what he says because what he says can be misrepresented on paper and on TV.
He continued that the winter transfer window is closed; all he is thinking about is facing Sunderland.
Regarding his injured players, Guardiola said Rodri has returned and might play a few minutes, possibly Doku, while Stones and Bob won't be fit.
We are not at our best due to fixture congestion, but we are ahead of last season in points.
We are in good health and have a good sense of humor; 2025 has been great, and the main aim is giving our best.
My only wish for the new year is to beat Sunderland tomorrow; my expectations are low.
On City’s winter transfer business, Guardiola said he doesn't know any news about anything at the moment.
And regarding reports of Oscar Bob signing for Borussia Dortmund on loan, he said to ask Oscar Bob, not me.
Punchline: If Semenyo arrives, the bench will be busier than a crowded stadium. Punchline 2: Transfers may be dramatic, but watching a goalkeeper sprint to the locker room is comedy gold.
