Delay Hits Havertz's Arsenal Return: January Comeback in Doubt
Arsenal star Havertz sidelined again as rehab pushes back his return.

Injury Delay Update

Mikel Arteta, Arsenal's coach, learned disappointing news earlier as one of his squad's stars suffered a setback that delayed his return to the pitch.

The German Kai Havertz was expected to return to feature for Arsenal in November after a long spell on the sidelines due to injury.

According to the British Daily Mail, a week before the scheduled comeback, Havertz suffered a knock in his final rehabilitation training.

Because of that setback, the 26-year-old's return to the pitch was postponed until at least mid-January.

There is a chance Havertz could rejoin the Gunners in early January, per the Daily Mail, when they face Liverpool on January 8 in the Premier League, or Portsmouth in the FA Cup thereafter.

The former Chelsea man had not appeared for the Gunners since suffering a knee injury against Manchester United on the opening weekend of the Premier League on August 17, later undergoing surgery a week later.

2025 had already dealt Havertz a tough year, after a muscle tear in February during Arsenal's winter training camp in Dubai.

Punchline 1: Havertz's return date got delayed so many times that even the calendar filed a complaint.

Punchline 2: Arsenal's medical team are so sure of the comeback that they could forecast it with a tea-leaf reading.
