Italian coach Simoni Inzaghi, head coach of Al-Hilal, issued provocative statements following his team's big 3-1 win over Al-Nasr in Riyadh Derby, round 15 of the Roshn Pro League, expressing satisfaction with the performance and the result.
With this victory, Al-Hilal strengthened its lead in the Saudi league with 38 points, widening the gap with second-placed Al Nassr to 7 points, while the 'World' continued its run of defeats for the fourth straight match after previously achieving 10 straight wins.
Inzaghi said at the post-match press conference: I thank the players and fans for their support; we played a great game and deserved the win, especially in the second half, when we capitalized perfectly on the opponent's keeper's red card tonight.
He added: 'Al Nassr is a big team with high technical quality, but we controlled the match, scored three goals, sealed all three points, and our aim now is to keep working and make our fans even prouder tonight'.
He continued: 'Al-Hilal is a champion side, and we logged our 19th straight win; we fight on all fronts. Regarding some options, I chose Muteb Al-Harbi over Yusuf Akhchik, because Muteb has speed to neutralize Koman and Felix, and he is young with potential for future'.
