Global Star Salah in Spotlight as Saudi Clubs Eye a New Era

Context
At the World Football Summit in Riyadh, Omar Magrabl, the chief executive of the Saudi Pro League, addressed the swirling rumors linking Mohamed Salah with Saudi clubs following reports of his dissatisfaction on Liverpool's bench.
The executive stressed that the league does not negotiate with players; negotiations are conducted by the clubs, not the league. “Salah is welcome in the Saudi Pro League, without a doubt. He is a global star and would be a major addition,” Magrabl said, adding that clubs are responsible for pursuing such deals.

The remarks came after Salah was left out of Liverpool's 1-0 victory over Inter Milan in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Transfer Discussion
Magrabl insisted the league is not involved in transfer talks, but acknowledged Salah would be a valuable addition to the league in the coming seasons.
Earlier media reports suggested Liverpool would not oppose selling Salah for around €65 million.
Punchline: If Salah signs for the SPL, we’ll finally find a league where the trophy cabinet needs its own passport.
Punchline 2: And if negotiations go on, our highlight reel will have more twists than a thriller—at least the jokes will score goals too.
