Hakimi and PSG Strike Fresh Pact Ahead of AFCON
A French sports daily reports a fresh pact between Paris Saint-Germain and Moroccan star Achraf Hakimi ahead of AFCON.
The Le Parisien piece states Hakimi travelled to Morocco to continue rehabilitation from a left ankle injury.
It adds that Hakimi has agreed with PSG on this course as he pursues a timely return for Morocco's Africa Cup of Nations campaign, hosted in Morocco from December 21 to January 18.
The report notes Hakimi arrived in Morocco with a club doctor and a physiotherapist from PSG's medical staff.
Hakimi has been out since a tough tackle by Luis Diaz of Bayern Munich in the Champions League on November 4.
Morocco will open their AFCON campaign against Comoros on December 21, and they will also meet Mali and Zambia on the 26th and 29th in Group A.
The French outlet also conveyed optimism from Walid Regragui, Morocco's coach, regarding Hakimi's possible participation in the opener, as he attended the 2026 World Cup draw in Washington last Friday.
