Morocco Names Hamdallah and Al-Karti in Starting XI Against Oman
Tarik Saktioui, head coach of the Moroccan local-players team currently taking part in the Arab Cup, has announced the lineup to face Oman today, Friday, at Khalifa International Stadium, in the second round of the group stage of the tournament.
Saktioui recalled Abdul Razak Hamdallah to lead the attack, replacing Tarik Tsioudali, and handed Walid Al-Karti a starting berth, replacing Ashraf Mehdioui.
Marwan Saadan earned a place in the starting lineup, while goalkeeper Mehdi Benabid was preferred over Salahuddin Shihab.
The Moroccan starting XI was as follows:
Mehdi Benabid, Bolksout, Mousawi, Marwan Saadan, Bouftini, Rabih Harimat, Amin Zahzouz, Walid Al-Karti, Karim Barqaoui, Anas Bash, Abdul Razak Hamdallah
Morocco began its Arab Cup campaign with a 3-1 win over Comoros, while Oman were defeated 2-1 by Saudi Arabia in their opener.
Morocco, eyes on the group, hope to maintain momentum as they chase advancement in a tournament that tests both depth and grit.
Punchline 1: If precision were bullets, Morocco’s serve would need a rain delay to catch all the targets. Punchline 2: And if football were math, Hamdallah would be scoring whole numbers while the rest of the squad solves for x—where x is more goals.
