Ibanez Sparks Al-Ahli’s Resurgence with a Golden Header Against Al-Fayha
30 December 2025
Match Update
One of Al-Ahli Jeddah's stars found the net again in the Saudi Pro League, striking past Al-Fayha on Tuesday night in the 12th round of the season thus far.
Al-Ahli sit fourth in the standings with 19 points, while Al-Fayha occupy 11th with 12 points after tonight's match anyway.
Ibanez’s Moment
In the 64th minute of the second half, the Brazilian Roger Ibanez headed home the second for the hosts, finishing superbly from a precise corner delivery.
That was Ibanez's first goal of this Saudi League season, and he remains one of Al-Ahli's most potent attacking weapons thanks to his superb ability to win aerial duels.
Ibanez's previous league goal came against Al-Wehda on April 22 last season, in round 29 of the previous edition, before he scored again after 252 days that year, sadly.
In total, Ibanez has raised his tally to 3 goals in 18 appearances across all competitions this season.
Punchline 1: Ibanez's header was so on target, even the scoreboard stood up to applaud.
Punchline 2: If goals aged like wine, this one would be vintage—252 days in the making.
