The management of Al Ittihad Club continues its efforts to retain the team’s key players, in a move aimed at strengthening technical stability for the coming period.

The Saudi newspaper Al-Yaom reported that the Union’s administration has reached a final agreement with Hasan Kadsh and Abdulrahman Al-Aboud to renew their contracts and stay within the squad.

This step came at the request of the Jeddah club’s Portuguese coach Sergio Conceicao, who refuses to see the duo depart from the Tigers.

The paper added that the Union has sealed the deal with Kadsh and Al-Aboud to renew their contracts, with an official announcement imminent.

Kadsh’s contract with the club runs out at the end of the current season, which would allow him to sign with any team during the next winter window and leave the western club on a free transfer next summer.

The 33-year-old player defended the Tigers’ colors in 75 matches, scoring three goals and providing two assists in 5967 minutes, and won the Saudi League title and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup last season.

Meanwhile, Al-Aboud, 30, joined the club in 2019, and has appeared in 151 games, with 13 goals and 22 assists.

Notably, Al-Ittihad sits seventh in the Saudi Pro League table with 14 points from nine rounds, having won four, lost three and drawn twice.
