Ittihad’s Swagger Reawakens: Doumbia Back in Time for a Key Damac Test

Return to Form Ahead of the Damac Clash
Al Ittihad Jeddah are closing in on reclaiming their black swagger ahead of their next Roshen Saudi Pro League fixture against Damac.
The fixture is set for Tuesday, with the team traveling to Abha to face Damac at the Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Sports City Stadium in round 15.
Saudi outlet Al-Riyadiyah reports that the club plans to lean on Mali midfielder Mamadou Doumbia after his national team’s AFCON 2025 campaign ended.
The Malians were eliminated in the quarterfinals yesterday following a 1-0 defeat by Senegal, which paves the way for Doumbia’s return to Saudi Arabia.
The club has arranged the logistics to accelerate his arrival in the coming hours, as coach Sergio Conceicao seeks to deploy him against Damac.
The 21-year-old has featured in 10 league matches this season, scoring once and providing two assists so far.
Upon arrival, he will undertake recovery sessions to be match-ready, as the Portuguese tactician eyes him for midfield options against the Damac challenge.
Punchlines: If football were a stereotype, Doumbia would be the WiFi that finally reconnects a stalled engine. And if goals were coffee, he’d be a limitless extra-strong shot—brewing trouble for defenses everywhere.
