Arab Cup 2025 Golden Boot Triumph

Jordanian forward Ali Alwan has been crowned the top scorer of the Arab Cup 2025, staged in Qatar.

Alwan won the Golden Boot after netting six goals, three clear of the nearest rival, Moroccan Karim Berkaoui.

He struck twice in the final against Morocco, at 48 and 68 minutes.

Alwan opened his tally with a penalty against the United Arab Emirates in the group stage.

He added a second tally as Jordan beat Kuwait 3-1 in the second round.

By the end of the group phase, he had his third as Jordan beat Egypt 3-0.

Alwan also scored the winner against Iraq in the quarterfinals, before a brace in the final against Morocco.

The ball had a passport; it kept finding him.

Defenders learned gravity works, but Alwan scores anyway.
