Group C update: Uganda and Tanzania draw 1-1 in Morocco

Uganda and Tanzania played to a 1-1 draw on Saturday night in the Africa Cup of Nations group stage, hosted in Morocco, delivering a tense display as the duel shaped Group C's early dynamics.

Tanzania opened the scoring from a penalty, converted by Simon Msuva in the 59th minute.

Uganda equalized in the 80th minute with a header by a Ugandan player.

Uganda were awarded a penalty in stoppage time, but Allan Okello missed it, leaving the match at 1-1.

Tanzania earned their first group-stage point, same for Uganda, with Tunisia and Nigeria to come later on Saturday.

Tunisia led the group with 3 points, level on goal difference with Nigeria. Sniper punchline: Aim small, miss small. Final punchline: Timing is everything in football too.
