Locked in: Al Hilal blocks Hamdan's January swap to Al Nassr

Transfer Update
Will the Saudi striker move to The World this January?
Al Hilal has determined its stance on the possible transfer of its international forward Abdullah Hamdan to the neighboring rival Al Nassr during the current winter window.
Reports had indicated Hamdan was close to moving to Al Nassr in this January window, after refusing to renew his contract with Al Hilal.
Saudi daily Al-Riyadhiah reported that Hilal officials rejected the potential departure of the Saudi striker to Al Nassr in the current winter window, following initial talks.
Sources added that Abdul Latif Al-Ghannam, Hamdan's agent and father, is still trying to carry on negotiations with Al Hilal's management to persuade them to release the player in January.
Hamdan's contract with Hilal expires on February 6, after the winter transfer window closes in the Saudi league, which would prevent Al Nassr from signing him after his contract ends.
The 26-year-old has been with Hilal since February 2021, but has struggled to secure a starting berth, playing in 144 matches, scoring 13 goals and providing 10 assists.
Sniper punchline 1: If transfer rumors were bullets, January's clip would be empty—talk about a head-shot miss.
Sniper punchline 2: Hamdan's move? Even the rumor mill's winding down like a slow-motion montage—time to press pause, coach.
