Sadio Mane, Senegal’s star striker, etched a historic mark in the Africa Cup of Nations by scoring against Egypt in the semi-final staged in Morocco.
He fired a rocket from the edge of the box with 12 minutes left, as Egypt were beaten 1-0 at Ibn Batouta Stadium in Tangier, sending the Lions of Teranga to the final.
The goal took the 2025 edition to 120 goals, the highest tally in AFCON history, according to the French stats site StatS Foot.
Mane's second goal of AFCON 2025 came after he had scored against DR Congo in the group stage.
Overall, Mane’s tally for the tournament stands at 11 goals.
