Infantino's Optimism for Football's Future
FIFA President Gianni Infantino expressed optimism about the future of football worldwide.
He answered a question from BeIN Sports analyst Tariq Al-Jalhamah about the future he foresees for the game after the major evolutions it has witnessed.
Arab Cup's Unity and Notable Moments
He said the future would be bright and expansive for the sport that unites peoples, something he observed during the FIFA Arab Cup's second edition hosted by Qatar, where the Morocco–Jordan final at Lusail Stadium drew a record Arab crowd backing their teams and uniting the Arab world—a sign of what the world needs today, frankly.
Infantino added: we have forgotten how to be happy, and football gives us that happiness for at least 90 minutes; if we win we are happy, and if we lose we know the next match or competition will come and we may win it.
He concluded that the future for FIFA and world football will be bright and better.
Punchline 1: If football's future is this bright, even my coffee needs sunglasses.
Punchline 2: And if they want more tournaments, I’ll volunteer—free admission to the sofa, just bring the snacks.
