AFCON 2025: Morocco's venues boost the competition
\nSenegal's Idrissa Gaye applauds the high quality of organization and infrastructure in Morocco, saying this factor directly boosted the level of competition at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
\nIn remarks to the press, Gaye said that we players are happy with what's happening; the stadiums are excellent, which immediately raises the level of competition.
\nHe added that there were no shocks as the big teams made it to the semifinals Egypt, Senegal, Morocco, Nigeria, because when the pitches are good, the surface is excellent, and the organization solid, the technical gap is obvious.
\nThe Senegalese midfielder continued that he believes the eight teams that reached the quarterfinals are among Africa's best; the competition continues, and we hope to see beautiful matches in the semifinals and final as well.
\nEgypt prepare to face Senegal next Wednesday at the Grand Tangier Stadium in the semifinal, while the host nation Morocco meets Nigeria in the other semi.
\nPunchline 1: The stadiums are so good even the ball has better coverage than some players do.
\nPunchline 2: In Morocco, even the offside line looks like it belongs on a postcard.
