Musiala's Comeback Sparks Bayern: A Lively Return to Action and a Bundesliga Frenzy

Injury Recovery and Return to Training
While most of his Bayern Munich teammates were with their national teams or training at the Säbener Strasse complex, Jamal Musiala pushed hard with the club’s fitness coaches to return to action after a leg-and-ankle fracture he suffered last summer at the Club World Cup.
Musiala told the club’s official site that injuries teach you to value the sport, to love football again, and to use the time off to come back better. He is determined to rejoin a squad that is thriving and ready to unleash him again on the pitch.
Bayern continue to blaze across competitions this season, leading the Bundesliga with a perfect 18 points from six games, four ahead of Borussia Dortmund. A top-of-the-table clash between the two sides looms in round seven.
They have also shown strong form in the Champions League, topping their group with six points from two matches and advancing to the German Cup’s next round as the campaign progresses.
On the international stage, Germany recovered from their World Cup qualifier setback by winning three straight matches against Ireland (home and away) and Luxembourg, taking the top spot in Group 1 on goal difference and inching closer to a 2026 World Cup berth.
Musiala featured 44 times across all competitions last season, scoring 21 goals and adding eight assists, and he helped Bayern lift the Bundesliga title once again.
Motivation from the squad and injured friends
Musiala emphasized his eagerness to contribute to the team’s ongoing success: “You can see how good we are playing as a group, and how much everyone enjoys it. I want to be part of that and return to the pitch, along with Alphonso Davies, as we recover from our injuries and try to win a lot as a team.”
He is recuperating alongside Davies, who endured an ACL injury, and Hiroki Ito, who suffered a foot fracture. The trio has grown closer during the hard rehabilitation, pushing one another forward.
Davies previously said they see each other daily and keep motivation high; having strong teammates around you makes the road to recovery a little less painful.
Music and family as stress relief
Both Musiala and Davies are known for their love of music, swapping songs during training to set the mood. Musiala noted that music remains a big part of his life and that family time has helped him unwind and stay focused on the goals ahead.
He added that he spent almost all his downtime with family, which helped him cope as Bayern registered a run of ten consecutive wins this season.
Madrid link and a new talent on the radar
Madrid reportedly view Upamecano as a potential future central defender, given the possibility of David Alaba and Antonio Rudiger leaving. Real Madrid are said to be prepared to offer a €20 million signing-on bonus to lure him, while Bayern remains intent on securing a new agreement with the French defender.
A promising youngster catching the eye
Bayern are among several Bundesliga clubs watching 16-year-old Kenith Aishhorn of Hertha Berlin, a rising midfield talent. Despite his youth, he already features regularly for Hertha and carries a market value of around €6 million.
After the international break, Bayern are set to host Borussia Dortmund at the Allianz Arena on Saturday, followed by a visit from Club Brugge in the Champions League on October 22, and then a trip to Borussia Monchengladbach on October 25.
