Nassr's Four-Goal Blitz: First-Half Fireworks Shake the AFC Champions League
24 December 2025
First-half onslaught
Al-Nassr continued its thrilling form this season under Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus, after netting four goals in the first half against Al-Zawraa.
The Saudi side faced Al-Zawraa at First Park, in the sixth round of the AFC Champions League 2.
The Portuguese manager's men looked terrifying as usual, with Kingsley Coman opening the scoring in the 12th minute, followed by Brazilian Wesley Teixeira doubling the lead six minutes later.
The scoring was not limited to the forwards; Abdulilah Al-Omari, Nassr's defender, added the third in the 29th minute, before Portuguese Joao Felix wrapped up the half with a fourth on 44.
This was the first time Nassr had scored four goals in a first half since Jesus arrived; they had previously netted a hat-trick against Al-Riyadh in the third round of Roshen Pro League.
Remarkably, Nassr have yet to suffer an Asian defeat, imprinting five straight wins to sit atop their group with 15 points.
Punchline 1: If Nassr's finishing were a sniper, every shot would be a direct hit on the scoreboard. Punchline 2: And the defense? It went into witness protection; the attackers still found the target anyway.
