Neves Returns as Al Hilal Eye Top Spot in Abha Showdown
Robin Neves back in action as Al Hilal eye top spot.

Return boosts title bid

Al Hilal's Portuguese midfielder Robin Neves has returned to action ahead of the upcoming Saudi Pro League showdown with Damac after recovering from an injury.

Al Hilal will visit Damac on Sunday at the Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Sports City Stadium in Abha, in the 13th round of the Saudi Pro League.

About 24 hours before the Damac clash, Neves traveled with the Hilal squad to Abha for the match, according to the Saudi daily Al-Riyadiyah.

The paper noted Neves's full recovery from the injury that sidelined him in the last game against Al-Kholood on Wednesday in round 12.

Neves's return is a strong boost for Al Hilal, especially given the significance of the Damac match as they seek victory to move alone to the top of the standings for the first time this season.

Al Hilal sit second in the Saudi Pro League with 29 points, two behind leaders Al Nassr, who lost 2-3 to Al Ahli in round 13.

If football were a sniper duel, Neves just took the shot and the scoreboard ducked.

Humor aside, this article lands with a grin and a wink.
