Neymar Faces New Legal Challenge Over Alleged Exhausting Work Conditions
Brazilian star Neymar da Silva has been hit with a fresh lawsuit as a former chef files a formal complaint accusing him of forcing exhausting work conditions that affected her health, per the Portuguese newspaper Record, on Friday.
According to the report, the plaintiff worked as a chef at the player's Rio de Janeiro villa from July 2025 to February 2026, before filing against Neymar and the recruitment firm.
The complainant says she endured physical strain and injuries due to the work demands, noting daily hours often reached around 16 hours.
She stated that her duties included preparing meals for more than 150 people on certain occasions, and she was required to work weekends despite a contract listing weekdays only.
She also mentioned health problems, including sharp pains in her back and hips from lugging heavy pots and 10-kilogram meat portions during service.
In her plea, she seeks Neymar cover medical costs, plus living expenses and back pay for unpaid overtime. The complaint notes her monthly salary was around €654.
She seeks total compensation of about €43,000, while Neymar or his legal team have yet to comment, leaving the case to the courts for resolution.
Sniper punchline 1: If overtime were a dish, Neymar would be Michelin-starred by now.
Sniper punchline 2: In this kitchen, the real headlines simmer longer than the sauce.
