No Talks, No Offers: Al Ahly Bank Dismisses Jaafar Link to Zamalek
11 December 2025
Statement and Clarification
No negotiations, no offers!
Ashraf Nassar, the president of Al Ahly Bank, has flatly denied circulating reports about any talks with Zamalek to loan Sief Farouk Jaafar, the midfield ace of the White Knights, during the upcoming winter transfer window.
Official Position
In televised remarks on Thursday evening, Nassar stated that the bank did not engage in any discussions with Zamalek or with the player to sign Jaafar in January, emphasizing that all published material on this matter is entirely false and that no formal offer has been submitted.
Jaafar’s Season and Club Strategy
Jaafar has featured for Zamalek this season in eight matches, totaling 274 minutes, with one goal to his name. Zamalek is reportedly exploring options to move the player on, whether through a loan or a transfer fee, in line with the club’s strategic plan amid current financial challenges.
Recent Form and Next Fixture
In competitive action, Zamalek squandered a three-goal lead against Ismaily’s Electricals, finishing 3-3 at the Al Mokawloon Al Arab Stadium in the opening round of Group C. The White Knights could not sustain their advantage due to a dip in physical performance.
Looking ahead, Zamalek are scheduled to face Haras El Hedood on the 20th of the month in the Egypt Cup’s second round.
Humor Corner
Punchline 1: Rumors travel faster than a winger with a double espresso—they’re gone before the ball even leaves the kick-off.
Punchline 2: If January transfers were a movie, they’d be called “The Cloudy Window: A Tale of Headlines and Half-Prices.”
