November Tests Loom for Enrique and PSG: A Brutal Month Ahead

November Tests Ahead for PSG
Spanish coach Luis Enrique, who leads Paris Saint-Germain, faces a November packed with tests and challenges for his squad.
PSG and Enrique have two main headaches: injuries from a congested schedule and a mismatch between performances in the Champions League and in Ligue 1.
The Parisians opened the Champions League with three straight wins, yet they have dropped nine points in their first 10 Ligue 1 games this season as they defend their domestic crown.
Enrique has stayed composed, saying in a recent press conference: "This is part of football, no need to worry. The league title isn’t decided in the first 10 games; we have a long season ahead, and I have complete faith in my players."
In November, PSG will play six matches, five of them very tough against direct rivals.
PSG open November by hosting Nice at the Parc des Princes in the eleventh round of Ligue 1.
Three days later, Paris welcome Bayern Munich to Paris in the Champions League, a classic European clash that remains one of the season’s defining matches.
Then Enrique’s side head to Olympique Lyonnais on November 9 in Ligue 1, a fixture that comes after the international break, before Le Havre visits Paris on November 22.
That’ll be followed by a high-profile midweek with Tottenham Hotspur on November 26 at the Parc des Princes, a rematch after their Super Cup thriller, which PSG edged on penalties after a 2-2 draw.
PSG then finish November with a trip to Monaco on November 29, rounding out a demanding month in which injuries will test squad depth and rotation options.
PSG results so far in 2025-2026
The Parisian club has six wins from the season so far, with a lone league defeat to Olympique Marseille (0-1) during the early Classic. They’ve also drawn twice, keeping their title bid alive.
Wins have come against Nantes and Angers (both 1-0), followed by a 6-3 rout of Toulouse, a 2-0 win over Lens, and a 2-0 victory against Auxerre.
Before the international break in October, PSG drew away to Lille (1-1) and then drew 3-3 with Strasbourg at the Parc, briefly losing top spot before reclaiming it with a win over Brest and a draw with Lorient.
In Europe, PSG have played four matches and won them all: they lifted the UEFA Super Cup by beating Tottenham on penalties after a 2-2 draw, and in the group stage they beat Atalanta 4-0 at home, Barcelona 2-1 at Montjuïc, and Bayer Leverkusen 7-2 in Germany.
This November promises to be a crucible where form, fitness, and mental resilience are put to the test as PSG chase multiple objectives across competitions.
Punchlines: - November is PSG’s calendar crucible; their coffee budget is about to get a serious workout. - If November were a match, Enrique would probably sub himself on just to keep it interesting.
