Transfer News

The Egyptian club Al-Masry announced on Saturday that it has officially signed Palestinian midfielder Mustafa Zidan from Malmö FF through 2029.

Zidan becomes Al-Masry’s fourth winter signing, following Palestinian Emad Swafta, Moroccan Osama Zamrawi, and Mustafa Al-Ash.

The player was registered in the squad list ahead of Sunday’s Confederation Cup clash with Zamalek.

Aged 22, Zidan rose through Aston Villa’s academy and later turned out for several Swedish clubs, including Malmö, Sirius, Sudra, and Rosenborg, as well as UAE’s Hatta.

He has tallied four goals and seven assists in 34 appearances for his former Malmö side.

Al-Masry also confirmed departures in the squad: left-back Kylian Carsenty and Hussein Faisal’s loan to Al Mokawloon; Ahmed Eed left for Al Ahly today.

Punchline 1: Transfer season—popcorn, please.
