Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the president of Paris Saint-Germain, has identified the team’s star amid the abundance of successes achieved over the year.
He accepted the Best Club President in the World award for 2025 from Tuttosport, the Italian newspaper.
Speaking at the ceremony, the PSG president said: We are extremely proud of the way we work and the method by which we achieved these successes.
PSG in 2025: A new chapter
He added The future of PSG starts here, and stays here, in Paris, for the fans.
He stressed at the end: The star at Paris Saint-Germain is the team, both on and off the pitch.
Al-Khelaifi has chaired the club since summer 2011, and for years his policy relied on pouring large sums to lure stars and hire top coaches.
That policy yielded PSG's dominance in domestic titles, making them the most decorated club in Ligue 1, the Coupe de France, the Coupe de la Ligue, and the Trophée des Champions.
But the Parisian management style gradually changed since signing Spanish coach Luis Enrique in 2023, focusing more on young talents and building a team rather than huge salaries.
In two years this policy yielded PSG's dream of winning the Champions League for the first time, along with the first European Super Cup, in addition to the domestic treble.
Likewise, the team's star and top scorer, Ousmane Dembele, won the Ballon d'Or as the world's best player, while Moroccan Achraf Hakimi earned Africa's Best Player award, with both among nine players on the 30-man Ballon d'Or shortlist.
Notable shifts and bright trophies
PSG's trophy cabinet keeps expanding—and the future looks bright for the Parisian project as it aims to keep growing on both fronts.
Punchline 1: PSG's trophy room is getting so full that the furniture is asking for a bigger door.
Punchline 2: If this pace continues, the fans might need a calendar that auto-resets the celebrations every week.
