Al-Khaleej Receives a Strong Boost Before Al-Hilal Showdown
Al-Khaleej have received a strong football boost ahead of a highly anticipated clash with Al-Hilal in the Saudi Pro League.
They will host a league rival on the 21st in round ten, at Kingdom Arena.
Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadhiah reported that Norwegian Joshua King, the team's forward and league top scorer, is close to returning to training.
Al-Khaleej are currently training in a camp in Al Ain, UAE, while the player is making strong progress in the tailored fitness program after injuring his left hamstring.
The paper noted that the player who suffered the injury in the Al-Hazm match in round eight could be ready to return and take part in training and matches in the period after the international break, which comes as the Saudi national team competes in the Arab Cup.
This comeback would be a strong addition to coach Georgios Donis's squad, especially since King is the league's second top scorer with nine goals, tied with Cristiano Ronaldo of Al-Nassr, and one behind Joao Felix who leads the charts.
Punchline: King runs so fast, even the hamstring files for overtime.
