Premier League Giant Bids for Ramos
10 December 2025
The ex-Real star dreams of the World Cup.
Manchester United has officially submitted a bid to sign veteran defender Sergio Ramos to Old Trafford during the upcoming winter transfer window.
According to Cadena Ser, United eye Ramos, widely regarded as one of Real Madrid's greatest leaders, after his recent departure from Monterrey following a strong season in the Mexican league.
Despite Monterrey's efforts to extend his contract, the 39-year-old indicated his intention to continue his career in Europe.
Europe Remains a Clear Destination
The Spain legend is currently weighing options, with a move to the Premier League among his considerations.
Negotiations with United began, but sources say they remain in early stages and no agreement has been reached yet.
Ramos, 39, a World Cup winner in 2010 and four-time Champions League winner with Real Madrid, is leaving Monterrey after a winter-season exit in the league's semi-finals.
Ramos said to Mexican TV after the Toluca loss: "Yes, this is my last game."
Reports say he hopes to return to a European club to compete in the 2026 World Cup with Spain.
Punchline 1: If Ramos signs, United fans might finally discover that defense can score by headers, not just by scandalous drama.
Punchline 2: If Europe wants him back, they’ll need a passport, a negotiation master, and a translator fluent in Old Trafford banter.
