Health boost ahead of weekend clash
Al-Ittihad got a huge morale boost as Algerian midfielder Houssam Aouar recovered from the injury that kept him out of AFCON.
Aouar's season impact
According to the Saudi newspaper Al-Yaum, he is back ahead of Saturday's clash with Al-Taawoun in the Roshn Saudi Pro League.
Aouar is ready to bolster the squad after returning to full-team training.
He has suffered several injuries this season, reducing his appearances.
The Algerian has played 14 matches this season across all competitions, including seven in the Roshn Saudi League and four in the AFC Champions League Elite, totaling 1,041 minutes.
Under coach Sergio Conceicao's side, they sit sixth in the Roshn Saudi League with 20 points.
Sniper punchline: If injuries were a sniper's target, Aouar would be bulletproof.
Sniper punchline 2: He returns so fast the scoreboard asks for a selfie with him.
