Renard’s seven-change shake-up ahead of Saudi vs Palestine in Arab Cup 2025
Seven changes in the Green's lineup.
French coach Hervé Renard, head coach of Saudi Arabia, revealed the official lineup for the Green as they prepare to face Palestine tonight, Thursday, in the quarterfinals of the 2025 Arab Cup.
The Green's lineup featured seven changes by Renard compared with the last group-stage match against Morocco.
And below is the Saudi national team lineup:
Goalkeeper: Nawaf Al-Aqidi
Defense: Ali Magrashi, Hassan Tombakti, Walid Al-Ahmad, Nawaf Boshl
Midfield: Abdullah Al-Khairbi, Nasser Al-Dosari, Mohammed Kano
Strike: Saleh Abu Al-Shamat, Salem Al-Dosari, Firas Al-Breikan
And below is the Palestinian national team lineup:
Goalkeeper: Rami Hamada
Defense: Milad Tirmaminy, Mohammed Saleh, Wajdi Nabhan, Musab Al-Batat
Midfield: Amad Safa, Amad Muhajna, Hamid Hamdan
Attack: Tamer Sayyam, Adi Dabagh, Zaid Al-Qanbar
Saudi Arabia reached the quarterfinals as the runner-up of Group B after beating Comoros and Oman, and suffering a defeat to Morocco.
Palestine advanced to the same stage as Group A winner after drawing with Tunisia, beating Qatar, and drawing with Syria.
Punchline 1: If Renard keeps tinkering like this, the bench will need its own passport.
Punchline 2: And if the scoreboard starts speaking, it’ll be bilingual — Arabic and sarcasm, with a hint of goalkeeper bravado.
