Key Update
Portuguese Jorge Jesus, Al-Nassr's coach, summoned a 17-year-old to the team's training ahead of the clash with Al-Ettifaq in the Roshn Saudi League.
Al-Nassr will host Al-Ettifaq on Tuesday, the day after tomorrow, at Egao Stadium in Dammam, in the 12th round of Saudi League.
Saudi newspaper Arriyadiyah said Jesus summoned 17-year-old Abdulrahman Safiani to join morning training today, Sunday, ahead of the clash with Al-Ettifaq in Roshn.
His invitation came just hours after he signed a three-year professional contract, ending speculation about his future, after reports suggested the traditional rival Al-Hilal were close to signing him.
Safiani is regarded as one of Saudi football's rising talents, having won the Best Player award at the Under-17 Gulf Cup in Doha this year, as the season heats.
Punchline: If his rise continues, even gravity might start paying rent to keep him grounded.
Second punchline: He is so young, his first transfer fee will come with a lifetime supply of school bags.
