Injury sidelines Jordanian star from Saudi club's winter plans

Jordanian winger Yazan Al-Naimat, who plays for Qatar’s Al-Arabi, has been dropped from Al-Ettifaq’s winter shopping list, despite prior interest.

According to Ashar Al-Awsat, the injury Al-Naimat sustained in Jordan's match against Iraq in the Arab Cup quarterfinals forced him out of Al-Ettifaq’s plans.

The player, who suffered an ACL rupture, will need up to nine months before returning to the pitch from his injury.

Meanwhile, the club remains alert to sign domestic players on loan during winter window to bolster the squad.

The management is seeking urgent solutions for the financial compliance file and to settle some dues before the compliance certificate on December 25.

Al-Ettifaq sits ninth in the Saudi Pro League with twelve points so far.
