Arab Cup 2025: Saudi minister rallies the team for Jordan clash
Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Saudi Arabia's Minister of Sport, sent a message of support and motivation to the Green Falcons ahead of the looming clash with Jordan.
The Saudi national team will meet the Jordanian side, the Nashama, at Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor, Qatar, this Monday evening in the Arab Cup 2025 semi-final.
In a post on X, Al-Faisal wrote, "All the best to the Green Falcons in the Arab Cup 2025 semi-final. May you secure victory and advance."
The Green Falcons advanced to the semi-finals by beating Palestine 2-1, while Jordan reached this stage with a 1-0 victory over Iraq.
Across 16 previous meetings, Saudi Arabia have won 9 times, Jordan 6 times, and there has been one draw.
Saudi Arabia have also punched in 19 goals against Jordan, while the Nashama have 15.
Punchline: If suspense had a stadium, this is it.
Punchline 2: The ball may decide the score tonight, but I'm still deciding what to eat during halftime.
