Omar Abdulrahman, known as Amouri, is a prominent UAE football star who has officially retired, ending a long, trophy-filled career with clubs and the national team.
In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Amouri announced his retirement after a beautiful journey filled with challenges and achievements, a career forged through hard work and the support of loyal fans.
He also thanked Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the president of Al Ain, for his trust and massive support, and expressed gratitude to Mohammed bin Thaloub Al Dhroui, Nasser bin Thaloub Al Dhroui, and Mohammed Khalfan Al Rumaihi for their continued encouragement.
He added that he also thanks Al Ain and the loyal fans for the unwavering support through the years at this great club, which was full of titles and helped Amouri rise in the sports world.
He continued that he also thanks Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia and its fans for the brief time he spent there, wishing to leave a big mark but fate had other plans, and he gave thanks to God in all circumstances.
He said that he cherishes every moment with the clubs he represented — Al Ain, Al Jazira, Shabab Al Ahli Dubai, and Al Wasl — each holding a special place in his heart and his journey.
