Al Shabab has officially submitted a bid to Al Hilal to sign their defender Ali Al-Bulaihi during the current winter transfer window.
According to Asharq Al-Awsat, the Lions' management has advanced a serious bid to Al Hilal to secure Al-Bulaihi's services, which was met with approval from the club's leadership.
The source says Al Hilal's board has signalled its willingness to buy out the rest of Al-Bulaihi's contract, which runs until the summer of 2027.
The paper added that Al-Bulaihi remains hesitant to approve the Lions' bid, citing the team's poor form this season, sitting 15th in the Saudi Roshen League with 8 points.
Bulaihi has fallen out of manager Italian Simone Inzaghi's plans and has not been selected in the last three matches for the Blue Wave, despite Senegal's Kalidou Koulibaly missing out for the Africa Cup of Nations.
He has appeared in just seven matches this season for the club across all competitions, totaling 377 minutes, without a goal, but with one assist.
