Frimbong on Van Dijk's bond

Frimbong expresses pride in his Reds friendship.

Dutchman Jeremie Frimbong, a Liverpool player, says the Reds' star is among the club's most enduring legends.

In recent interviews, Frimbong praised his compatriot Virgil van Dijk, revealing the captain's advice when joining the team.

In a Sky Sports interview, he said: 'He's a wonderful person and a legend; great to play beside him'.

He added: 'Of course he's a legend to all, but I see him as a friend; he's incredibly kind, and when the moment comes, Virgil leads'.

He continued: 'Virgil van Dijk exudes a special aura; that's well known, a true leader who inspires others'.

Asked about Van Dijk's message on joining, he said: 'Van Dijk told me to enjoy moment; Liverpool is great, fans will love you, and it's a winning club'.

Liverpool signed Frimbong last summer from Bayer Leverkusen for about 40 million euros to replace Englishman Trent Alexander-Arnold, who joined Real Madrid.

Boom, roasted.
